Lamia = I don't like

I was sitting in Math class this morning, doing my math working and not really paying attention to what was going on around me, when I heard Lamia say Palestine. I tuned into the world again when I heard this. From the very other side of the classroom, I could hear Lamia saying, "All the Jews are leaving Palestine." and then continued to say "Jews are weak". I think she said something else as well, but I don't remember what it was.

There are many things that I noticed from this.
First, I sit at the opposite end of the room from her, and I could hear perfectly every word that she said. Which means that she really didn't care who heard her, and she didn't care if she offended anybody.

Next, I noticed that she refered to Gaza as Palestine, which I find very interesting. I know that a lot of Palestinians call Israel Palestine, but I didn't know that they were calling Gaza Palestine. The only thing that I'm doubtful about that is that it sounded a lot like she was refering to all of Israel when she said "The Jews are leaving Palestine" which means that she believes, and is getting others to believe that Israel is being given up entirely, which definitely is not the case.

I didn't like that she was sharing this with the whole class basically. Lamia can believe whatever she wants, but when she is telling a bunch of people who are probably pretty uninformed about the topic, then they are just going to believe what ever they are told, which means that there is now a large portion of 25 people who believe what she said about Jews being weak and leaving Israel.

My biggest problem about what she said is that the dissengagement is supposed to be a step towards peace, but if a large number of people think that same way as Lamia, then I don't think that it is going to help very much, and that worries me.

I had to try really hard to just sit quietly and not show any emotion towards what she was saying.

I hope I don't have an entire semester full of Lamia making stupid comments about stuff that she knows nothing about, and that will just make me mad to look forward to.

p.s. In the halls a few days ago, I heard her say "I don't like Jewish people".

Wow. Lamia is retarded. Which is why people would never ever believe her. People would have to be pretty stupid to ever believe anyting Lamia says. And even if they are uninformed, do you think they will assume Lamia is informed. This is the girl who on the first day of school told everyone she shit alot during the summer...

haha... today when jeremy and i were waiting for all the boys to shop, we were talking and we started talking about lamia losing weight. i said i was surprised she lost so much weight in two monthes and he's like "apparently she shit it out." it made me laugh. a lot. lamia is dumb.

i'm really uninformed about anything in israel (feel free to inform me sometime. i'm curious, since i've heard things but really have no idea what's going on), but i wouldn't believe anything lamia said about it. i doubt other people in your math class would either...

and... what is lamia doing in your math class anyway? she could hardly pass spanish 1...
